Competitive Audit

  • Most apps offer video tutorials, but users need to download them after the app installation.
  • Some content is not available; that could be because some apps are from other countries (Spain and French).
  • Civil associations and healthy institutes are sponsoring these apps.
  • Most apps don't offer facilities for people with disabilities, both temporary and permanent.
  • Apps do not leverage mobile devices to speed up help in an emergency.

Findings

  • Triggers. Some participants wanted to follow the flow by pressing the numbers on the timeline, an insight is that we must make the numbers act as buttons.
  • Features. Some participants were asking about the functionality of the timer; an insight is that we must reconsider keeping it visible.
  • Meanings. Some participants asked about technical words and terms; an insight is that we should offer accessible information about them.

Impact

“Not many people know how important to know about CPR is. This app will help to create awareness and even encourage people to help in a real emergency”. Erika · A Professional

What I learned

Before anything, the research I did during this project taught me how easy it's to perform CPR and, above everything, that our quick participation can save lives.

Thanks to this product, I performed a great case study, but more importantly, I feel ready to help in a real emergency.
