Insurauto

Insurauto (SCL-Online Quote System) is a portal
designed for an online insurance quote.

Brief

Our client's company has been offering its services in other countries, and they were interested in starting operations in Mexico. They also asked for an admin panel to update some portal contents by themselves, such as formulas for payment calculations.

The system had to manage user profiles, their history, related policies, payments, and billing. All this resulted in medium fidelity screens and other artifacts needed to complete the study.

Role and Responsibilities:

Researcher: define and ideate, execute primary research.
Visual designer: mockups.
Duration of the project: 3 months.

Definition process

The proposal was to create a website that provides a quote to potential customers (not registered) without needing to register first.

The team had to analyze how to track the PDF provided once the clients decided to purchase the service being a non registered user. A quick presentation of the modules is in the gif below.

The flowcharts below show the process of generating a quotation before getting personal data of users.

The folio number of the document makes it possible to track the quote if the client wishes to contract the service later. We used specific series for this type of quote, which facilitates their recognition.

Alerts

The red buttons indicate that if an action is executed, it will modify critical data. For pop-up alerts, these buttons are displayed in a high-contrast background. These color alerts are used both with clients as well as with portal administrators.

Mockups

The main screen only shows the insurance policies applicable to the selected model in the main bar, indicating features, prices, and client eligibility discounts.

The detailed information will appear in a PDF, which could be downloaded or emailed.

The company's dashboard shows the portal performance, breaking down the information by the total number of insurances, type of policies, and how many cars were insured by brand.

The displayed info will change in the corresponding fields based on the selected time period. The color palette chosen displays important information with contrasting colors.
